Galiyat Valley Sets Record with 1 Million Eco-Tourists This Year. Shahrukh Ali, Director General of the Capital Development Authority, made the announcement and emphasized the government’s focus on promoting sustainable tourism.

He highlighted efforts to protect the environment while boosting the local economy. Initiatives include building modern parking facilities and registering over 50 hotels and guesthouses to offer high-quality services for tourists. These steps aim to standardize accommodations and increase transparency in the tourism industry.

This year’s World Tourism Day theme, “Tourism and Peace,” focuses on using tourism to promote cultural exchange and international understanding. Ali hopes these initiatives will enhance the visitor experience while supporting responsible tourism and global sustainability efforts.

The government’s initiatives are also expected to create jobs and support local businesses in the Galiyat region.
