Notorious Human Trafficker Involved in Libya Boat Tragedy Arrested in Hafizabad

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Gujranwala Zone apprehended a notorious wanted criminal, Bashir Ahmed, linked to the tragic Libya boat incident. The arrest was made in Hafizabad using advanced technology, FIA officials reported.
Bashir Ahmed, a red-book listed fugitive, had over 10 cases registered against him since 2022 by the Composite Circle, Gujrat. He reportedly swindled millions by promising illegal migration to Europe, taking 1.8 million rupees per person from 12 victims. Ahmed, along with accomplices, trapped victims in Nigeria and Libya, planning to transport them by boat to Italy. Tragically, the journey ended in a fatal accident, resulting in the loss of lives. The FIA continues its investigation into the case.
