The City Court in Karachi has approved the bail request of Natasha, the accused in the Karsaz accident case. The court granted her bail against a surety bond of Rs. 100,000.
Earlier today, the court had reserved its decision after hearing the final arguments from both sides. During the hearing, the defense lawyer argued that the accused has been undergoing treatment for mental illness since August 2005. Additionally, she holds a valid UK driving license, which is recognized in Pakistan for six months. The lawyer also mentioned that the victims’ families have forgiven the accused.
The prosecution’s lawyer submitted no-objection certificates during the hearing. After reviewing the case, the court granted Natasha’s bail.
