State Bank of Pakistan Announces Results of New Banknote Design Competition

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has concluded its Art Competition for the new banknote series, recognizing local artists and designers for their creativity. After a thorough evaluation by a committee of experts, the following winners were announced:

  1. Dr. Shery Abidi – 1st Prize for Rs. 10
  2. Mr. Mirza Sufiyan – 2nd Prize for Rs. 10
  3. Mr. Haroon Khan – 1st Prize for Rs. 20
  4. Syed Fawad Hussain – 1st Prize for Rs. 50
  5. Ms. Memoona Afzal – 1st Prize for Rs. 100 and Rs. 5000
  6. Ms. Hadiya Hassan – 1st Prize for Rs. 500
  7. Ms. Aynee Zahra – 2nd Prize for Rs. 500
  8. Ms. Noureen Aslam – 1st Prize for Rs. 1000
  9. Mr. Karim Muhammad – 2nd Prize for Rs. 5000

These designs will serve as inspiration for international designers, who will collaborate with SBP to finalize the new banknotes. The SBP aims to ensure the new series reflects Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and progressive vision.

Winners will be awarded prize money, and details about the award ceremony will be shared soon. SBP congratulates the participants and appreciates their contributions to this significant national project.
