Four New Polio Cases Reported in Pakistan, Total Cases Rise to 32 This Year

Four new cases of polio have been reported in Pakistan, bringing the total number of cases this year to 32.

The recent cases have emerged from Jacobabad, Karachi’s Malir District, and Dera Ismail Khan. In Thul Tehsil, Jacobabad, two children have been affected by the virus—a 32-month-old girl and an 18-month-old boy. In Bin Qasim Tehsil of Karachi’s Malir District, a 72-month-old boy has been diagnosed with polio, while a 22-month-old boy from Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has also tested positive for the virus.
