In its ongoing efforts to enhance defense cooperation with friendly nations, Pakistan has signed a contract to sell JF-17 Block-III fighter aircraft to Azerbaijan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the delivery of these aircraft will significantly strengthen Azerbaijan’s airpower capabilities. During a recent visit to Pakistan, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan was briefed on the combat capabilities and versatile operational options of the JF-17 Block-III fighter aircraft.

Following President Aliyev’s visit and at the request of the Azerbaijani government, Pakistan deployed a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) contingent to Baku for ADEX-2024. This deployment showcased the aerial capabilities and static display of the JF-17 Thunder Block-III, also known as the Pride of Pakistan.

During this deployment, the JF-17 conducted air-to-air refueling with the PAF Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft, demonstrating the fighter jet’s long-range capability and operational reach.
