Utility Stores Corporation has reduced prices of over 800 items, including ghee and cooking oil, with a price drop ranging from Rs. 8 to Rs. 60. The price cuts apply to products from 48 different brands, covering various items like ghee, cooking oil, tea, detergent, noodles, ketchup, tetra pack milk, powdered milk, spices, pickles, soap, toothpaste, and more.
The notification for these price reductions was issued, and the new rates became effective yesterday. However, the Benazir Income Support Program subsidy is currently paused but will be restored under a new mechanism soon, according to a spokesperson.
