Israel Blocks UN Secretary-General’s Entry for Failing to Condemn Iranian Attack

181

According to international news reports, Israel has stopped United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres from entering the country. The decision was made because he did not clearly condemn Iran’s missile attack on Israel.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz stated that Guterres’ failure to strongly condemn Iran’s attack has made him unpopular in Israel. Katz emphasized that anyone who cannot condemn Iran’s “heinous” attack, as almost all other countries have, does not deserve to step foot on Israeli soil.
