Meta Launches New Program to Help Creators Earn on Facebook (How it works)

257

Meta has introduced a new program called Facebook Content Monetization beta, making it easier for creators to earn money from different types of content. This new program combines three existing ways to make money on Facebook — In-stream ads, Ads on Reels, and the Performance Bonus — into one simplified program. Now, creators can earn from Reels, longer videos, photos, and text posts all through a single platform.

Previously, creators faced challenges due to different eligibility rules and complicated sign-up processes. Many creators missed out on opportunities to earn from all content types. Data shows that only about one-third of creators currently monetize more than one type of content on Facebook. With this new program, creators can now join one system to monetize multiple formats and track their performance more easily.

It is easier than ever to earn money across the range of content formats on Facebook.

Eligibility for Facebook Content Monetization Beta

Starting this week, Meta is sending invitations to one million creators who are already monetizing on Facebook to join the beta version of the program. More invitations will be sent in the coming months. Creators can join from the monetization tab on the Professional Dashboard (mobile) or Meta Business Suite (desktop).

While open enrollment for the program won’t begin until 2025, creators can show interest in receiving early access by visiting Facebook for Creators to learn more and express interest in the beta.
