IT Sector Resilient Despite Connectivity Issues, Exports on the Rise

Despite challenges in internet connectivity, including issues with services like WhatsApp downloads, Pakistan’s IT industry remains largely unaffected, says Khushnood Aftab, Convener of the IT Committee at FPCCI and CEO of Viper Technology.

He noted that Pakistan’s IT exports continue to grow steadily, demonstrating the sector’s resilience.

“We are optimistic about closing this financial year with strong and impressive numbers,” Aftab stated.

The IT industry in Pakistan has shown remarkable adaptability, ensuring uninterrupted business operations and contributing significantly to the country’s economy, even amidst connectivity concerns.

On the other hand, a large number of freelancers, software houses, and e-commerce stores are troubled by slow internet speeds. Experts warn that if the internet does not improve, IT exports could be negatively affected.
