Internet Disruptions in Pakistan to End by October, Says PTA

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced that internet disruptions and slow speeds across the country will be resolved by the end of October.
 
According Jang, the installation and upgrade of the Web Management System (WMS) will be completed by October 20. The new system will help prevent cyberattacks on the internet infrastructure.
 
The upgrade will expand capacity to manage 8 to 9 terabytes of data, enhancing the overall performance and security of the internet system. PTA also revealed that the installation process for the WMS began in 2019.
