Facebook Goes Down in Pakistan, Sparking Concerns Among Users

218

Facebook has unexpectedly gone down in various parts of Pakistan, leaving users unable to access the platform. Unlike a global outage, Facebook is functioning normally in other countries, but the platform appears to be down exclusively in Pakistan. Some users are reportedly using VPNs to access the site.

It’s worth noting that another social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), is already blocked in Pakistan. With Facebook now down as well, concerns are growing among Pakistanis. IT experts have previously highlighted that restrictions on social media could lead to billions in losses for the country.

Facebook is a popular platform in Pakistan, with nearly every internet user having an account. Many small businesses rely on the platform for their operations, and its outage could result in significant daily economic losses.
