The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a show cause notice to Fakhar Zaman, requesting a response by October 21. Fakhar Zaman is a player under a central contract with the PCB. This action follows a tweet made by Fakhar Zaman in support of Babar Azam.

بابر اعظم کو قومی اسکواڈ سے ڈراپ کرنے پر فخر زمان نے کیا کہا؟ ٹوئٹ وائرل

Fakhar Zaman has strongly criticized the decision to drop former captain Babar Azam from the squad for the second and third Test matches against England. On Sunday, the Pakistan squad was announced for the upcoming Tests, which saw Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, and Shaheen Afridi left out of the team.

On the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Fakhar Zaman issued a statement, citing the example of Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli. Fakhar Zaman wrote that India did not drop Virat Kohli despite three years of poor form, and he was not left on the bench.

The Pakistani opener expressed concern over the news of Babar Azam being dropped, stating that removing the country’s best batter sends a negative message. In his tweet, Fakhar Zaman urged the management to protect their players instead of making hasty decisions.
