The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally written to the International Cricket Council (ICC), requesting a written explanation from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding their decision to not send their team to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy.
According to reports by Geo News, the PCB emphasized in the letter that the Champions Trophy must be held in Pakistan as planned. The PCB also communicated its government’s position on the matter to the ICC.
The demand follows BCCI’s recent verbal notification to the ICC, stating their team would not travel to Pakistan. The ICC subsequently informed the PCB of India’s decision, prompting the letter from Pakistan seeking a formal written response.
