Pakistani comedian and YouTuber Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has responded to veteran actress Bushra Ansari’s recent criticism, saying she seems to feel that he is taking her place, but that’s not the case. “I have been watching her since childhood, may Allah keep her happy,” he added.
According to Geo News, Chahat expressed surprise over the criticism, stating, “I used to hear such remarks from big singers, but now even our legend, Bushra Baji, has started commenting.”
He further explained, “I write and sing my own songs, which is why people know me. I create the music tracks myself, and people enjoy them.”
Chahat also acknowledged Bushra Ansari’s contributions to comedic music, saying, “She was a comedic artist when she started, and maybe she thinks I’m replacing her. But that’s not true. In fact, if she wants, I’m ready to collaborate with her on a song.”
The exchange comes after Bushra Ansari recently appeared on Geo News, where she criticized Chahat Fateh Ali Khan’s music, calling it a “mockery of songs.” She also expressed disappointment over people’s mentality for making such content viral, stating that she personally finds it unbearable to witness the exploitation and mistreatment of songs.
