Section 144 Imposed in Karachi to Prevent Clashes Between Marches

102

Karachi – Commissioner Karachi has imposed Section 144 in the city from today until October 17, due to the risk of clashes between participants of the Sindh Rawadari March and the Tahaffuz Namoos-e-Risalat March. Heavy police presence has been deployed around Teen Talwar and Karachi Press Club to prevent any rallies from taking place.

The city administration has banned protests, sit-ins, and rallies during this period. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone violating Section 144. According to the notification, the ban was imposed to avoid law and order problems as multiple groups planned protests on the same day.

Public gatherings of five or more people are also prohibited during this time.
