Punjab Approves Rs 500 Million for Bomb-Proof Vehicles to Ensure Chinese Nationals’ Security

The Punjab government has approved Rs 500 million for the purchase of bomb-proof vehicles to enhance security for Chinese nationals working on various projects in the province. This decision, made on the recommendation of IG Punjab, received clearance from the provincial cabinet.

In 2016, the federal government had acquired 23 vehicles to safeguard Chinese and other VIPs. However, the increase in CPEC and other initiatives since then has created a need for additional vehicles.
