The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to bring a new local government system, according to party sources. In a recent consultative meeting, the party reached a consensus to hold local government elections later this year, possibly in November or December.
Sources within PML-N reveal that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has instructed both federal and provincial governments to reduce their expenditures. Additionally, the party plans to convene another meeting in the coming days to focus on internal organizational matters, with a report on party restructuring to be presented in the next session.
