Monsoon Rain Alert: New System Approaching Pakistan After Causing Havoc in India

A new spell of monsoon rains is heading towards Pakistan after causing widespread devastation and flooding in India. The system is expected to reach Sindh, including Karachi, within two days, bringing heavy rainfall across the province.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reported that the new monsoon system is currently located over central India and is expected to enter Sindh on August 25, with the entire province experiencing rainfall by August 26. In Karachi, heavy rains are forecasted from August 27 to August 31, with intermittent downpours expected throughout the city.

The PMD has also issued warnings of a potential rise in sea levels during this new spell, with Karachi facing the possibility of torrential rains for four consecutive days. Meteorologist Anjum Nazir has predicted a significant increase in temperatures over the next two days in Karachi, with the maximum temperature reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius. The humidity will also make the temperature feel even higher.

No rain or drizzle is expected in Karachi over the next two days, but the new monsoon system is expected to enter eastern Sindh on August 26. The city is likely to experience substantial rainfall from August 27 to August 29.
