Karachi: The Sindh government has issued a notification setting the minimum wage for workers at Rs. 37,000 per month, effective from July 1, 2024.

The new wage policy applies to all industrial and commercial establishments across Sindh. The wage increase was approved by Chief Minister Sindh before the notification was issued.

According to the notification, female workers are entitled to the same wages as male workers. Additionally, if any establishment is already paying higher wages, they are not allowed to reduce them.

All establishments are required to comply with the new minimum wage policy, and the Sindh government has ordered industries to implement the decision immediately.
