In a tragic incident in Landhi, Bakhtawar Goth, a mentally ill woman reportedly threw her children into a water tank before jumping in herself, resulting in three deaths. The police claim that the woman’s mental state was confirmed by local residents and family members.
According to police reports, the mother had previously attempted a similar act, but the children were saved. On this occasion, a polio vaccination team in the neighborhood noticed the incident and pulled the children and the woman out of the tank.
One of the children managed to escape the tank before the mother jumped in. The police believe that after throwing her children into the tank, the mother attempted to rescue them, which may have led to the tragic deaths.
The surviving child reportedly banged on the house door, prompting a response from the polio team outside, who quickly intervened.
