Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, chaired a meeting regarding the repair of roads in Karachi damaged by recent rains. During the meeting, Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani stated,
“We are conducting a survey of Karachi’s roads.” He further explained that the survey would determine when the roads started deteriorating.
CM Sindh ordered strict action against those responsible for substandard roadwork, saying, “Whoever is responsible for poor road construction will face severe consequences.” He also instructed an inquiry into the roads that were built or repaired but have deteriorated prematurely. “Investigate who constructed these roads and why they have been damaged,” he directed.
Murad Ali Shah emphasized the importance of quality work, stating, “I want the repair or construction of roads to be of the highest standard.”
