Hafiz Naeem Rejects Minor Reduction in Electricity Bills, Demands Rights, Not Charity

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, has criticized the minor reduction in electricity bills, labeling it as charity. He asserted that people do not need charity but their rightful due.
Speaking at the Youth Talent Award ceremony organized by Jamaat-e-Islami in Lahore to honor top Matric students.
He further warned that if people remain silent, the rulers will continue to offer mere alms. He emphasized that the heavy taxes on the salaries of the working class are unacceptable.
Hafiz Naeem also pointed out corruption in the energy sector, revealing that a 100 MW power plant was falsely shown as 150 MW on paper. He criticized the persistent installation of Independent Power Producers (IPPs) in every regime.
He concluded by stating that Pakistan’s current situation has been worsened by the actions of so-called educated but ignorant individuals, and urged for a change in the country’s political approach.
