Federal Government Decides to Amend IRSA Act, Sindh Rejects Proposed Changes

The federal government has decided to amend the IRSA (Indus River System Authority) Act, a move that Sindh has firmly rejected. According to sources within the Sindh government, any changes to the IRSA Act will be strongly opposed.
Sindh’s PPP (Pakistan People’s Party) President, Nisar Khuhro, is expected to present a motion in the Sindh Assembly regarding the IRSA Act. All PPP members in the Sindh Assembly have decided to oppose any amendments to the Act.
Sources claim that the federal government aims to retain more control by amending the IRSA Act, a move that Sindh is unwilling to accept.
