Citizens Looted Millions Left by Robbers; Factory Contractor Killed, Son Injured in Karachi

In a tragic incident in Karachi’s Korangi area, robbers shot and killed a contractor and injured his son during a robbery. The contractor, Abdul Malik, was on his way to a factory after withdrawing Rs1 million from a bank.

As he reached the gate, three armed robbers on two motorbikes approached him. Sensing danger, Abdul Malik threw the money bag away, but the robbers opened fire when he resisted, killing him on the spot.

Two robbers grabbed the bag and fled, but more than half of the money spilled out. Abdul Malik’s son, Kashif, who was in the car, shot one of the robbers, injuring him. The robbers also shot and injured Kashif.

Police reported recovering Rs3 lac from the scene, while the remaining Rs7 lac was looted by bystanders. The injured robber was arrested, while the other two fled.

Factory workers were having lunch at a nearby hotel. As soon as the robbers fled, both the workers and nearby citizens rushed to the scene.
