In a recent podcast, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari admitted that while the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has not solved all of Sindh’s problems, the party has largely ignored the power of digital media in showcasing its efforts. He emphasized that political perceptions are shaped by media, and the PPP had mistakenly believed that newspapers were the primary medium for building perceptions.
“If we hadn’t neglected digital media, everyone would have noticed the work we’ve done,” Bilawal stated. He further mentioned that even small actions, like planting a tree, gain significant attention when highlighted effectively. Unfortunately, the party has faced undue criticism, but Bilawal assured that they will now focus more on digital media.
Discussing Karachi, Bilawal noted that the city, despite being the most populous and the economic hub driving the country, faces the most challenges. “The population is growing, but resources are not being allocated accordingly,” he added. He also raised concerns about the longstanding issue with the NFC Award, stating that agreements have not been honored.
He explained that no matter how many hospitals or roads are built, the demand continues to outstrip supply due to the growing population. Karachi even faces a water shortage based on its population size.
