Details of Mpox KPK Cases Submitted to National Institute of Health

According to sources, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has submitted a report on Mpox cases to the National Institute of Health (NIH). All four Mpox patients have fully recovered, confirmed through PCR tests. Three of the patients were treated at Police Services Hospital, Peshawar, with cases reported from Mardan, Peshawar, Orakzai, and Nowshera.

Three cases were identified by border health services staff, while one case emerged from the community. The first Mpox case was reported on August 13, followed by the second on August 22, and the last two on August 29. Over the last month, 28 suspected Mpox cases were reported, with three patients returning from Jeddah and one from the UAE.
