The Punjab government has announced the closure of all educational institutions across the province today. The decision to declare a holiday was made based on recommendations from law enforcement agencies due to concerns over law and order.
No protests or attacks on public and private properties will be tolerated. In response, the School Education Department and Higher Education Department have issued official notifications.
The closure applies to all public and private schools and colleges, and universities across the province will also remain closed.
Earlier, the Punjab government imposed Section 144 for two days, banning all types of protests, gatherings, and related activities from Friday, October 18, to Saturday, October 19.
