Zong 4G Launches 59 Commercial Sites in Gilgit-Baltistan

Zong 4G has officially launched 59 commercial sites in Gilgit-Baltistan, marking a significant step in the region’s digital development. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Gilgit-Baltistan’s Minister of Law and Tourism, Ghulam Muhammad, and IT Advisor, Ms. Suraiya Zaman. Also present were PTA Zonal Director Gilgit, Gul Abid Wazir, Assistant Director Ehsan-ul-Haq, Special Communications Organization Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Ahmed, and IT Secretary Riaz Ahmed.

Zong CEO, Mr. Hou Junli, emphasized that this initiative strengthens Zong’s role in advancing the Belt and Road Initiative and expressed gratitude to partners for their support in deploying the modern network in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Khawaja Shehzadullah, Executive Director of Sales and Distribution, highlighted that this step will help bridge Pakistan’s digital divide, empower local communities, and promote tourism. He also underscored Zong’s commitment to economic growth through modern technology and expansion projects.
