Prime Minister’s Construction Package Expected in Early November

31

Islamabad: The government is preparing a Prime Minister’s Construction Package aimed at facilitating the construction sector, expected to be announced in the first week of November.

The package will not include any tax amnesty, according to sources. Instead, it will focus on providing facilities to boost the construction industry. Key features under consideration include incentives for multi-story buildings and potential allowances for adding rooftop housing.

Further benefits may include permission for constructing a third floor on two-story buildings and encouraging the development of affordable housing. The package also proposes to reduce map fees to make construction more accessible.
