The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has called for a Rs. 14 reduction in electricity rates for Sindh, similar to the relief provided in Punjab. According to Iftikhar Sheikh, many people have been forced to either skip meals or pull their children out of school to pay their electricity bills.

The KCCI President urged President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, and Energy Minister Owais Leghari to announce relief in electricity bills for the people of Sindh.
