The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended the deadline for filing income tax returns until October 31.
According to the FBR, this extension was granted in response to requests from trader organizations and tax bar associations, as well as due to public holidays in banks.
The FBR stated that the deadline extension is being provided under Section 214A of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001.
It is worth noting that the previous deadline for filing income tax returns was set for today.
