In an inspiring development for Pakistan’s technology sector, Viper Academy and the Defense Housing Authority (DHA) Karachi have entered into a transformative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aiming to uplift the nation’s IT educational standards. The agreement, signed by Asim Sheikh, CEO of Viper Academy, and Brig Asim Ali (Retd), Secretary of DHA Karachi, was witnessed by notable industry figures including Col Tahir Bashir Malik (Retd), SI(M), Project Director at Innovista Indus, and Khushnood Aftab, Group Chairman of Viper Group.

This groundbreaking partnership promises to spearhead initiatives focused on developing critical IT skills among Pakistan’s youthful population, which constitutes 60% under the age of 30. Addressing the skills shortage in the IT sector, this collaboration marks a pivotal step towards harnessing the potential of young minds and preparing them for the global digital economy.

“Today, we lay the foundation for a future where our youth are not only consumers of technology but also creators and innovators,” stated Asim Sheikh during the signing ceremony. “Our mission with DHA is to build a robust platform where young talent is nurtured to meet the growing demands of the IT industry, both locally and internationally.”

The MoU outlines a strategic framework where Viper Academy will develop and deliver a series of skill training programs, with DHA providing the necessary infrastructure and logistical support through its vast network of educational institutions. Innovista Indus will contribute by ensuring seamless execution and amplification of these initiatives.

Khushnood Aftab added, “Today marks a milestone for the future of technology education in Pakistan. I am profoundly grateful for the unwavering support from DHA Karachi and Innovista Indus. This partnership underlines our shared commitment to advancing the IT capabilities of our nation’s youth. At Viper Academy, we are dedicated to harnessing the potential of our young talents, and with the collaboration of such esteemed partners, we are set to dramatically enhance the tech skills landscape. Together, we will ensure that our youth are not just ready but leading the charge in the technological transformation of Pakistan.”

Asim Sheikh also highlighted, “Viper is also offering Internships for fresh graduates not only in Karachi but Lahore too.”

As IT exports continue to show promising growth, the need for a skilled workforce becomes even more critical. This partnership not only addresses the immediate skill gaps but also positions Pakistan to become a significant player in the global tech industry.

The series of programs initiated under this MoU will focus on various aspects of IT, from basic programming skills to advanced technological applications, ensuring a well-rounded education that meets the industry’s current and future needs.

This collaboration between Viper Academy and DHA, with the support of Innovista Indus, is a testament to the collective vision of empowering Pakistan’s youth through education, innovation, and technology. It sets a benchmark for public-private partnerships aimed at national development through skill enhancement.
