Zong customers in Pakistan have reported unauthorized deductions from their accounts without any prior requests. Numerous users have voiced their frustration over this issue.
One customer shared that they regularly monitored their account balance using the Zong mobile app and noticed daily deductions without explanation.
Another user stated that their remaining balance would automatically vanish, even though they only subscribed to a monthly package.
A third user revealed that after contacting customer service, they were informed that various services like GPL, Beep, and Daily Other Services were activated on their number without their request. Despite assurances from the phone banking officer that all services were deactivated and future activations were locked, the deductions persisted.
This behavior by Zong has sparked widespread concern among users, leading to complaints on social media. Some customers have suggested keeping minimal balance in their accounts and only loading the exact amount required for their packages to avoid further deductions.
Users have accused Zong of deceptive practices and urged the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to take immediate notice. They emphasized that any service activation should require explicit consent via a phone call or other secure methods.
