Govt Likely to Raise Power Tariff by 26 Paisas in December

28

The government may increase electricity tariffs by 26 paisas per unit in December 2024 as the negative fuel cost adjustment (FCA) of Rs. 1.28 per unit ends in November.

This adjustment will not affect domestic users consuming up to 300 units monthly. FCAs account for fuel cost changes, while other adjustments are added to quarterly base tariffs.
