Rupee Nears 278 Against US Dollar After Consecutive Declines

The Pakistani rupee weakened for the second day against the US dollar, opening at 278 in the interbank market and closing slightly lower at 277.92. While the rupee was bearish against the dollar, it gained against most other major currencies. Open market rates ranged from 279 to 281 PKR per USD.
