Thousands Fooled by AI-Generated Fake Dublin Halloween Parade Listing on Pakistan-Based Website

7
Ireland: Thousands gathered in Dublin’s city centre, expecting a Halloween parade that never arrived. The crowd had been misled by an AI-generated website hosted in Pakistan, “My Spirit Halloween,” which falsely advertised a Macnas Halloween Parade from 7pm to 9pm. The fake listing gained traction online and even ranked on Google, drawing large crowds along a supposed route from Parnell Street to Christchurch Cathedral.

City officials later clarified that no parade was scheduled and advised the public to disperse safely.
