FIA Immigration Officers Found Involved in Corruption

Islamabad: An investigation has revealed the involvement of 17 FIA immigration officers and staff in corruption and misconduct, according to official documents. The implicated personnel include sub-inspectors, ASIs, and head constables, with corruption charges proven against them.

Two officers have been dismissed from their positions, while 15 others have faced demotions, as outlined in the notification. Among those demoted, six ASIs were reassigned to head constable roles, and one sub-inspector was demoted to the position of ASI. Additionally, eight head constables were reassigned to constable ranks.

All departmental ID cards have been confiscated, and the implicated officers have been instructed to report to the Admin Branch Headquarters.
