According to an official statement from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) will now be updated on a daily basis.
FBR stated that these changes were made on October 18, 2024, through an SRO under Section 237 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
Taxpayers who submit their returns within the deadline will be included in the Active Taxpayers List.
However, those filing returns after the due date will have to pay a surcharge to be added to the ATL.
