Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa Clarifies He Will Leave After Completing His Term, Says Law Minister

Federal Minister for Law, Azam Nazeer Tarar, clarified remarks made by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa regarding constitutional amendments related to the appointment of constitutional benches or courts.

While presenting the 26th Constitutional Amendment in the Senate, Tarar addressed the propaganda suggesting that changes were being made to extend the current Chief Justice’s tenure. He mentioned that in three official meetings with the Chief Justice, Qazi Faez Isa clearly stated, “I will leave after completing my term.”

According to Express News, The law minister also noted that the Chief Justice emphasized that any constitutional amendments would be implemented after his tenure ends.
