Elon Musk revealed Tesla’s new robotaxi, the “Cybercab,” during an event in Los Angeles. The futuristic vehicle has no steering wheel or pedals and features two gull-wing doors. Production is set to begin in 2026, with a price under $30,000 and operating costs at 20 cents per mile.
Musk also introduced a “robovan” that can carry up to 20 people but gave few details. The event showcased Tesla’s focus on autonomous vehicles, which Musk believes will be safer and more efficient than human-driven cars.
Additionally, Musk mentioned progress with Tesla’s humanoid robot, Optimus, which could be priced between $20,000 and $30,000.
