All Parties Conference Expresses Solidarity with Palestinians

Islamabad: An All Parties Conference (APC) was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr to express solidarity with the Palestinian people. The conference was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Asif Ali Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeem, and several other political leaders.

During the conference, President Asif Ali Zardari delivered a speech, urging Israel to withdraw from all occupied Arab territories. He emphasized that the international community has failed to prevent the genocide of Palestinians.

PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif also addressed the APC, condemning the atrocities faced by Palestinians. He stated that the worst kind of oppression is being inflicted on them, with Gaza turning into ruins and children being torn from their mothers’ arms and martyred. He criticized the global silence on the matter.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, in his speech, highlighted the lack of response from the Muslim world. He stated that the indifference shown over the past year is a crime, and Pakistan is equally responsible for this inaction. He added that mere resolutions from the conference will not ease the suffering of Palestinians, who need more than verbal support.

Hafiz Naeem urged that the message from the conference should be clear: a free Palestinian state is the only solution. He reiterated Quaid-e-Azam’s stance, stating that Israel is merely an occupying force, and supporting the two-state solution or a return to the 1967 borders goes against Quaid-e-Azam’s principles.
