A notification has been issued for the deployment of the army in Islamabad for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit. According to the notification, the deployment is being carried out under Article 245 of the Constitution. The army will take charge in Islamabad starting tomorrow and will remain stationed until October 17 for the duration of the summit.
