The Israeli military recently launched a bunker buster missile attack in Beirut, targeting Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah. Hezbollah has confirmed that Nasrallah was martyred in the attack. The group’s spokesperson stated that their fight against Israel will continue. Nasrallah was hiding in a bunker located under six buildings in Beirut when the attack occurred.

The attack also claimed the lives of senior Hezbollah leader Ali Karaki, Nasrallah’s daughter Zainab, and Abbas Nilforushan, a commander of the Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon. Israel has not disclosed how many bunker buster bombs were used in the attack, though these bombs are banned from use in populated areas under the Geneva Convention.
