PIA Privatization Bidding Set for October 1, Six Parties to Participate

The bidding for the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will take place on October 1, with six parties participating in the process. This announcement was made during a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Privatization, chaired by Farooq Sattar, in Islamabad.

The meeting’s agenda included progress reports on the privatization of PIA and the Roosevelt Hotel, as well as briefings on the privatization of Zarai Taraqiati Bank and State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan.

Farooq Sattar highlighted that the privatization process for PIA has advanced more quickly than for other institutions. He further stated that the bidding will be held in Islamabad and arrangements have been made to broadcast it live. The six parties participating in the bidding will be observed by the committee members.
