JI to Launch Protests on Sep 29 and Movement After Oct 7 Over Unfulfilled Government Agreement

In a press conference held in Lahore, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, the Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, announced that today marks the completion of 45 days since their agreement. He declared a nationwide protest on September 29, with large demonstrations and sit-ins planned across various cities.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman emphasized that the government must refrain from actions that could undermine democratic processes.

“The public’s patience has run out due to rising electricity bills and unjust taxes. We are initiating a new protest movement, and the decision to pay bills or not will be made by the people.” Hafiz Naeem

He further revealed that from October 1 to October 7, Jamaat-e-Islami will show solidarity with the people of Palestine and Lebanon. He warned that after October 7, the “Haq Do” movement will evolve into a resistance movement, involving protests and rallies.
