Lieutenant General Asim Malik has been appointed as the new Director General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). He will assume his new responsibilities on September 30.
Currently, Lieutenant General Asim Malik is serving as the Adjutant General at the GHQ. His notable career includes commanding an infantry division in Balochistan and an infantry brigade in Waziristan.
He has also served in the Military Operations Directorate and earned the prestigious Sword of Honour during his military training. Additionally, he has been the Chief Instructor at the National Defence University (NDU) and an Instructor at the Command and Staff College in Quetta.
Lieutenant General Asim Malik is a graduate of Fort Leavenworth (USA) and the Royal College of Defence Studies (UK).
