Provincial Minister Forms Committee to Investigate Missing Paintings from Frere Hall

A two-member committee has been formed by Sindh Provincial Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah to investigate the alleged theft of paintings from Frere Hall, following a social media campaign highlighting the issue. The committee consists of the Director General of Culture and the Director General of Antiquities and has been tasked with investigating the matter and presenting a detailed report.

Minister Zulfiqar Ali Shah stated that the news of the missing paintings came to his attention through social media and assured that a thorough investigation would take place. He also promised action against any negligence or misconduct found during the inquiry.

“We will not tolerate any injustice towards young artists, as they are our assets,” said Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah. Further action will be taken once the facts are revealed.
