Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has announced action on the arrests of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders from within the Parliament premises. He stated that all footage from the gates has been requested for review.
According to sources, Ayaz Sadiq summoned the IG Islamabad, SSP Operations, and DIG to the Speaker’s chamber. Video footage from Cabinet Secretariat, Gate One, Gate Five, and the lobbies has already been retrieved from the sergeant. He instructed authorities to provide immediate details on who was arrested, who is currently in custody, and the nature of the cases.
The Speaker emphasized that they will not remain silent on this issue, stating that he will work with the Deputy Speaker, Law Minister, Ali Muhammad Khan, and others to develop a plan of action, taking the matter seriously.
It is worth noting that last night, several PTI members of the National Assembly were arrested from within the Parliament building, sparking strong reactions from PTI in the National Assembly.
