The Sindh government has approved a budget of PKR 500 million to launch IT courses aimed at preparing the youth for employment. Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, announced that the initiative is designed to benefit 10,000 young individuals across the province.
The courses will be conducted by NED University, Mehran University, and IBA Sukkur, offering certifications in various IT fields such as Java Development, Python Development, Database Administration, Graphic Design, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Web Development, Mobile Application Development, and Data Science.
Each certification course will last for two months, with training sessions held five days a week for three hours daily. The program is part of the People’s Information Technology Program (PITP) and aims to enhance IT skills among students in Sindh, contributing to poverty reduction in the region. The program will provide industry-recognized certifications to help participants secure employment opportunities.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this initiative was signed between the Sindh government’s IT department and three major universities in the province, under the supervision of Chief Minister Sindh.
